A Perfect Planning For A Perfect Honeymoon
Whether it's a weekend nestled in a quiet northern Ontario cottage, heli-skiing the majestic Canadian Rockies, a sun-filled island vacation getaway or a three-week trek through Europe, getting away for a honeymoon is one of the highlights that follow a traditional wedding.
Outside of any other vacation time you'll spend together, the honeymoon is an intimate time for strengthening your bond and relaxing after the exhilaration of the actual wedding. If you've got some time to travel and even a limited budget, your choices can include all-inclusive resort packages, cruise ships, grand resorts, villas or condo rentals and intimate bed and breakfasts.
Similar to planning the wedding, give yourselves ample time to research, decide, plan and co-ordinate the honeymoon.
Helpful Hints for Honeymoon Planning:
• If you plan to go through a travel agent, begin by drawing up a wish list of places you'd like to visit, and the kind of amenities that you are looking for – ocean view, hot-tub, honeymoon suite, recreational activities, five-star dining or whatever your pleasure.
• If you're planning to leave right away, pack your stuff a couple of days before the wedding. Create a checklist of items so you don't forget anything – include items such as tickets and travel documents, camera, contact lenses or extra glasses, sports equipment and a supply of any prescription medication you need.
• Have your luggage brought to the hotel where you are spending your wedding night, so you don't have to worry about picking it up on the day of departure. Full Article
